More about fungal/nail fungus
The treatment
Are you suffering from a fungal nail? Then our laser is the solution! A yellow or white discoloration, thickening, and brittle nail bed can be very bothersome and sometimes even painful.
The new revolutionary laser, the Quanta System Duetto MT EVO, kills the fungus in no time. How exactly does lasering work? The laser is a light source operating at a specific wavelength (Nd:YAG 1064 nm), which is absorbed by hemoglobin in the skin, heating the nail plate and killing the fungus. The affected part of the nail grows out and makes way for a healthy nail. Because the nails need to grow, the results will be visible after 3 to 6 months.
How many treatments are needed? The laser treatment must be repeated an average of four times, with a treatment frequency of two to three weeks.

The laser can be used for the following indications:
- Fungal nails (chalk nails)

Aftercare & reimbursements
Aftercare
It's very important to dry your feet thoroughly after a shower or bath, including between your toes. Keep your feet dry. Wear clean, cotton or wool socks every day and well-ventilated, but not too tight shoes.
Wear slippers in areas where many people walk barefoot, such as shower rooms and swimming pools.
You can file a deformed nail or one that's causing problems with a pumice stone or file. Please also file your nail before each laser treatment.
In addition to the antifungal pills prescribed by your GP, you can also undergo laser treatments to optimize the results.
