What is carboxytherapy?
The treatment
Do you suffer from dark circles, bags, or wrinkles under your eyes? It can happen to the best of us, especially after a bad night's sleep. Sometimes, however, bags or dark circles don't disappear after a good night's sleep. They can leave you looking tired and less refreshed. While dark circles and/or bags don't harm your health, they can be uncomfortable.
How dark circles/bags are formed
Dark circles or bags under the eyes can develop not only from illness, lack of sleep, or poor lifestyle. They can also be caused by genetic predisposition, skin thinning, or hyperpigmentation. Therefore, it's important to consult a dermatologist about the cause.
The hereditary form is the most common. Sagging can also be hereditary as a result of aging, leading to the formation of a fold. In addition, friction is a recurring cause in people with hay fever or contact allergies. Rubbing the eyes should be avoided.
During the treatment
With carboxytherapy, we literally breathe new life into your skin, without the need for surgery. No fillers or other artificial substances are used. Carboxytherapy is a natural, fast, and effective way to
get rid of dark circles, fine lines and bags.
During this carboxytherapy, carbon dioxide is injected into your skin. Carbon dioxide is a natural substance and therefore already present in your body, ensuring it is immediately accepted by your skin tissue and therefore cannot cause any damage. The oxygen promotes active cell metabolism, improving blood circulation, collagen production, and enhancing skin volume.
Number of treatments
Approximately 3 to 6 treatments are needed for the desired result. Treatments are performed every two weeks. To maintain the desired results, a maintenance session is recommended every three months.
